Did you have any issue during this time? Are there any news? I have to ask you because a lot of time is passed since your last post. On the compatibility list by Promise, Western Digital RED disks are not listed. With the Promise Pegasus DAS I have to save the data to other drives then copy them again.

I tested some Synology NAS and they are great because you can swap the disks and gain bigger storage without losing any data.

In the future I'll be able to add another 3TB hard disk to the free disk array and increase my space without losing any data, so I'll have 9TB of available space, right? I need the Promise Pegasus utility software to set this, right? That seems the case of migration. It appears that this years Computex trade show is not in the least bit short on storage devices, as proven by Promise, whose R4 and R6 RAID multi-drive storage devices were built with a certain. AVL listing does not imply market availability.  In RAID storage system, we recommend user to use enterprise level hard drive, which has much better command timeout control and more reliable to vibration for critical application. It's a great unit and we've never had an issue with the system. This unit and drives we're bought in late 2013. We have a Promise Pegasus R6 with 6 x 3TB Seagate Barracuda (ST3000DM001) running on a RAID 1. I was hoping someone could advise us please. 3tb each and swap them with 2 of the 2tb seagates. I don't mind getting 2 seagate st300DM001 drives.

Right now I have 2 samsung series 830ssds 512gb and 4 seagate st2000DM003 2tb hdds the samsungs work fine and are not on the list. I wondered if anyone had used a different 3tb or a 4tb in the unit. both are seagate barracuda st3000dm001 firmware cc4h or cc43. Only 2x 3tb drives on the compatible list. I have had this unit for a while and I need more room.
